Distribution of land and houses among landless and homeless families |

In order to ensure that not a single person in the country will remain landless and homeless and to implement Sheikh Hasina's gift of the right to shelter, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has declared 7 districts and 159 upazilas across the country landless and homeless-free. On Wednesday (March 22) morning, the Prime Minister inaugurated the fourth phase of the land and house distribution program to landless and homeless families by connecting virtually from Ganabhaban. A discussion meeting was held with all the beneficiaries of the upazila and organized by the Atwari Upazila Administration regarding this program of the Prime Minister.
Under the chairmanship of Professor Md. Ramzan Ali and the chairmanship of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shayla Saeed Tanvi, Panchagarh Deputy Commissioner Md. Zahurul Islam was present as the chief guest. Among others, Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Touhidul Islam, Vice Chairman Renu Ekram, Officer-in-Charge of Atwari Police Station Md. Sohel Rana, former Upazila Freedom Fighter Commander Nazrul Islam, administrative officers, local leaders and media personnel were present. The Deputy Commissioner said that income generation projects have been taken up through training for the resettled families.
In order to improve the quality of life and work efficiency of these families in Atwari, the Upazila administration is working to improve their quality of life by training a total of 401 men and women in various trades in the first, second and third phases, providing sewing machines, autovans, cattle and involving them in the Kabikha and Kabita projects. In addition, drinking water facilities, free electricity facilities, land registration and land registration have been completed for each family. Under the overall supervision of the upazila administration, all the activities related to the project implemented for the rehabilitation of landless and homeless families in the upazila were highlighted to the public and everyone was called upon to make this humanitarian initiative of the Prime Minister successful and beneficial.
